Tilelli

Tilelli, liberté en Tamazight, est une troupe de chants et de danses composée de 11 femmes. Le but premier de Tilelli est la promotion de nos tradidtions culturelles. Cette troupe a vu le jour en 2001 et depuis, elle ne cesse d’évoluer et de créer pour enrichir ses spectacles. Tilelli puise dans les traditions ancestrales, poèmes et rituels pour assurer le maintien de la culture Amazighe malgré l’exil. Tilelli, participe à un grand nombre d’évènement, entre autres:

  • Yennayer (Nouvel an Amazigh)
  • Tafsut Imazighen (Printemps Amazigh)
  • Tajmilt i Lwennas (Hommage à Matoub Lounes)
  • Fêtes culturelles organisées par la Ville de Gatineau

Tilelli, Tamazight for freedom, is the name of a band focused on singing and traditional dancing. Its primary objective is to spark interest in cultural and social traditions within the Berber community. Since the band’s upbringing in 2001, Tilelli and its members have found innovative ways to enlighten the community on such aspects as ancestral traditions, unique rituals and original poetry. The band draws from Amazigh culture in order to maintain it and strengthen its effect on the community, despite the social exodus that its people have been subject to. Tilelli participates in a wide range of culturally-oriented events:

  • Yennayer (Amazigh New Year)
  • Tafsut Imazighen (Amazigh Spring)
  • Tajmilt i Lwennas (Tribute to Matoub Lounes)
  • Culturally-based celebrations funded by the City of Gatineau
